Warping sounds and minds since 1985
INTERVIEWS
In July 2024 Dental Drill and Trixie Delight discussed (in English) the history of The Committee For Sonic Research with presenter Heiko on his show Geräusche für Fortgeschrittene "Sounds for Advanced Users" on Radio Linden https://www.radiolinden.de/ .
The discussion about the label is roughly chronological from our formation in 1985 and is punctuated by a dozen tracks from the TCFSR catalogue.
Unfortunately, due to file size limitations, this recording of the show is very low quality (65mbps/32khz mp3). This does no favours to the music, but the talking is fine.
A year earlier, in July 2023 Trixie Delight discussed (in German) her musical career to date with presenter Heiko on the same show Geräusche für Fortgeschrittene "Sounds for Advanced Users" on Radio Linden https://www.radiolinden.de/ .
Unlike the show about TCFSR (above) Trixie's show didn't over run by 25 minutes so this recording of the show, whilst still low quality audio, is a more respectable 112mbps/32khz mp3.
PODCASTS
The Committee For Sonic Research produced three monthly shows for Radio Woking, our local station.
On the first Sunday of each month Trixie Delight and Dental Drill present 'The Comfy Show', featuring music by independent artists and those on small labels.
On the third Sunday of each month is 'ALSO with Dental Drill', featuring ambient, longform, soundscape and other stuff.
When there are five Sundays in a month Dental Drill presents '5th Sunday' in which he trawls through his extensive audio collection to share a variety of not-pop.
On a few occasions Dental Drill has been guest presenter of the Saturday evening show 'Comes with MP3s', which is also a trawl through his audio collection.
From August 2013 until July 2014 tourmaline hum produced and hosted a podcast of alternative and experimental stuff from independent artists on Soundcloud - the A&E Oddcast.
